MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

I hope this day finds you all healthy, happy and full of the love of Christ. I love this time of season to beable to reflect upon all I have been blessed with. I love the excitement that the boys have not only for the presents but to beable to celebrate the birth of Jesus. What a magical time of year.

This morning as wrapping paper was flying across the room.. Kennen and I just sat there and smiled, watching the boys and listening to them laugh and talk and scream with excitement. It is so fun to be a mom and a wife. I am so blessed being my wildest dreams. When it was my turn to open a present my sweet sweet husband got me the most beautiful picture. It is so fitting for the holiday and one that will be perfect to remember what Christmas is always about. The picture is of Joseph working in his woodwork shop looking out of a window and on the floor by his feet is a toddler Jesus the sun is on the floor in the shape of a cross (which is where Jesus is sitting) It brought tears to my eyes. I am so thankful that Heavenly Father sent Jesus down to earth for us. Jesus was here and did all that he was asked to do so that we will be able to return home to our Heavenly Father again. What a wonderful feeling that is. I am grateful for that knowledge. I so love the gospel and I love Our Savior and Heavenly Father. I am thankful that I have the chance to repent every day so that I may return home someday.

I am thankful for my family for the 2 little boys that we were blessed to have and for a wonderful loving husband. I am thankful for parents who taught me all about service and unconditional love. I am thankful for a brother with a gentle and quiet demeanor (Robbie takes after Shad). I am thankful for 2 sets of grandparents that loved me. I am thankful for aunts and uncles and cousins that have supported us through all of our journeys. I am thankful for friends, which are amazing. I am thankful for a home that is nice and keeps my family warm and dry. I am thankful for food on the table and clothes on our backs. I am thankful for the opportunity to be a mom, wife, sister, daughter, friend how I treasure every one of them. I am thankful for the blessings of the temple and that my marriage is for eternity and that together we have an eternal family with our two boys. I am thankful for a loving Heavenly Father that listens to my prayers and gives me a nudge in the right direction or gently pulls me back and says now is not the time. I am extremely blessed.

I hope that you have a very MERRY CHRISTMAS. I hope that you know that we love you. May you always remember that this is the day that Jesus Christ was born. Sending our Love!!

On the 12th day of Christmas... I am so thankful for my dear sweet loving husband. I am thankful for all that he does for me and the boys. I am thankful for the long hours he works so that I am able to stay home with our boys. I am thankful for his love and support in all of the ventures I go on. I am thankful for his example. I am thankful that he is a man of honor. I am thankful for his patience with me.

I am so thankful for his help around the house and with school. I am thankful that he is willing to take us out on explorations and adventures. We love to spend time with each other. (which I know is a huge blessing)

I am thankful for the love he gives unto us. I am thankful for his laughter and that it is contagious. When he starts laughing the boys start laughing and I start laughing.

I am so thankful that I don't only get to spend this life with him but eternity.

I Love you Kennen!! Hope you have a most wonderful Christmas!

11th day of Christmas

On the 11th day of Christmas.. I am so thankful that I was blessed with a Robbie. I am thankful for his quietness. I am thankful for the good brother he is (90% of the time) I am thankful he is him, he has no worries. He is so laid back and whatever happens happens in his little world. He will never ever have ulcers that is for sure.

I am thankful that Robbie was sent to our family. I am thankful that he is kind hearted and he loves the little ones and takes care of them. I am thankful he loves school and he loves to learn. He is so full of questions all the time, some are not so easy so it is a good thing we have the internet. ;) Robbie loves to read, which I am so grateful for.

Thank you Robbie for being you, for standing up to what is right. I have also learned much from him. I am so blessed to be the mother of Robbie and also of Sid. I want to thank my Heavenly Father for blessing me with these spirits in my home. (anyone who knows I should not have had them at least through the doctors point of view)

Robbie we love you and we are thankful for you and your kindness. Thank you for being a good example to Sid and for playing with him and helping him learn and grow.

10th day of Christmas

On the 10th day of Christmas.... I am so very thankful for my little stinky. I am thankful for the joy and laughter he has brought into our lives and home. Sid is my little spitfire, you never know what he will be doing next so you better watch out. He is a bundle of joy. I love the way he laughs, smiles, talks.. I love that he is so easy going. I just love that little boy.

He is doing so well in school. We have had to take a back door approach to the alphabet. He knows all of the sounds and he is beginning to sound out words which is way fun to hear. He is excellent at math.

Sid is a wonderful example to me, he loves everyone he meets. He is such a great friend and cares about all. He asks all the time how so and so is doing and it throws me for a loop. He loves the gospel and I love hearing him pray.

I am thankful this little boy was sent to me to take care of and teach. He is such a choice spirit.

Love you stinky...

8th day of Chirstmas

On the 8th day of Christmas... I am so thankful for books. I am thankful for the opportunity we have to learn from them. I am thankful that some are written for just pure enjoyment. Those who know me know I am a book junkie... I LOVE BOOKS!! Our house is full of them and we seem to somehow keep finding more. I love that the boys love to read and/or just look at the pictures with in them.

I love that when you open up a book it can take you on an adventure, to a far away place. You can go under the sea, you can go fight off knights, you can spend time in the spiderwick house. It doesn't matter what you read as long as you read. Those words are often spoke in our house. So with the boys, that means Diary of wimpy kid, Yu-gi-oh, comic books etc... It really doesn't matter. A book is a book and they will learn something from holding them in their hands.

Hope you are having a wonderful Christmas season. Love to you all!!!

It makes you just have to smile or start laughing with them. I love the feeling and I love the joy it brings. Laughter is truly the best medication. Hope you have something that you can look at and it brings laughter to your soul.

Merry Christmas!!!

6th day of Christmas

On the 6th day of Christmas. Today I am thankful for the opportunity I have to keep the boys home and teach them and learn from them every single day. I love watching their eyes light up, I love hearing them laugh, I love listening to them read.

It is wonderful watching them grow and want to learn and explore. I think it really is the best feeling ever it ranks up there with their first words, steps, etc.

I am so thankful that we have the option of homeschooling and all the things that are offered for the boys and others who have chosen this path.

What a wonderful family I have and what a wonderful feeling it is to continue to be able to learn and to grow.

Hope you all have a wonderful day and a very merry Christmas!

As Long As There's Christmas - Beauty and the Beast The Enchanted Christ...

On the 5th day of Christmas... I am so thankful for music. I love music, I love the way it makes you feel. I love listening to it, all types. Christmas music is actually one of my favorites though. I love the spirit that it brings.

4th day of Christmas

Today I am thankful for our house. A house is a house but the people inside is what makes it a home. I am thankful for the warmth it provides from the wind and the cold. I am thankful for the laughter that echos off of the walls from 2 little boys. I am thankful that it provides us with a place to be together to share our love with one another. I am thankful that the spirit is able to dwell with in the walls of our home. I am thankful that we are able to learn and to grow within the walls of our home.

I am so thankful that we have a place to dwell and be together. It doesn't matter what your house looks like or where it is.. what matters is what is inside of it, enjoy those that are inside the door of that home.

Right now our house is full of laughter, love, toys, dirty laundry and oh so much more. I sure wouldn't trade it for the world. Love to you all!!!

Spiritually Fed Wednesday and the 3rd day of Christmas

I am truly thankful for my savior. I am thankful for the knowledge I have. I am thankful for the opportunity I have to be the best I can be and when I have given my all and done my best I can return home to open arms. I am thankful for the Temples and for the knowledge and light we receive when we are able to attend. I am thankful for the eternal plan, for my eternal family and being able to be with my sweet husband for not only in this life but for eternity. How wonderful to know that and what peace it gives me. I am thankful for a forgiving elder brother and Heavenly Father. I am so thankful for all I have been given, I have been extremely blessed. (life is not life if we do not have our trials which we have had many, but without them we would not know the good and happy times. We would not know that our testimonies, faith, hope, love, etc.. could stretch and still be intact.) At this time of year I am so thankful for Jesus Christ and his birth. What a great reminder we have at the holidays of this. Merry CHRISTmas!!! Love to you all!

1st and 2nd day of Christmas

On the 1st day of Christmas... I am so thankful for cars. Spending as much time as we do in them, I am thankful for them. This weekend we were able to drive to Logan to spend sat. with Kennen's family. Then we drove to Spanish Fork on Sunday morning to spend time with my family. Thank you both for having Christmas parties the same weekend so we could make it. The boys do well in the car. (yes it can be learned, when we first moved it was a nightmare to travel with them, but now they are fairly good) And for any of you who have had the honor to come to Casper, you know all know how much time we spend in this said vehicle. :)

On the 2nd day of Christmas.... I am thankful for our families (parents, siblings, grandparents, cousins, etc...) I am thankful for the examples of them all. I am thankful for the unconditional love. I am thankful for the help if we are in need of help. I love our nieces and nephews, so dang cute. Please during this holiday season tell your family thanks and tell them how much you love and appreciate them. Also, will you please keep my grandma (she is going through radiation and a broken hip or two) and my grandpa (who yesterday had to have a knee replacement surgery) in your prayers. Thank you muches. Love to you all.

Hello!!!

I really don't know where or what we have been doing. The credit card statement says we have been doing something though. hehe We did go see The Wizard of Oz for our second broadway show. It was fun, the boys liked grease better though.

Lets see.... Our week, we do pe, art, and school.. We have started exercising in the mornings and that is fun. We have been dancing on the wii. It is great fun to do it with the boys. Our routine has shifted a little during the day and things seem to go a bit smoother. (so far) We also switched the boys speech teachers and to a different school. For the first time since Aug. Sid stayed and loved it. He didn't walk out and say "you are boring and you aren't helping me" That child I don't know where he gets it from. Oh wait! I think he may have some of me and his dad in him.

It has snowed a little then it blows a little so there really isn't much on the ground. The 2 houses being built will hopefully be finished soon. On the one side of us they have broken our vinyl fence. On the other side, they keep parking in our driveway so I can't get in or out. I will be extremely excited for the construction to end.

Our Christmas is up and the boys are super excited. I love the spirit of Christmas. I love the excitment it brings and I love, love to make candy... :)

We hope that your week has gone well. Love to you all.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BECCA!!!!

What a great day it is. I am so glad that your birthday feel on a WEDNESDAY isn't it fitting? I think it is. I mean it is usually my Spiritually Fed Wednesday and how much more spiritually fed can I get without you?

Dearest Bec,
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you for showing up at my house many years ago not knowing who I was or what I was about. (I know you didn't want to be there) Thank you for listening to Sandy. From the moment we met we "hit" it off. I have no clue how you broke in and got into my heart so fast but you did and I am so glad. I am so thankful for the love and friendship you have given me over the years. I am thankful for the encouraging words when life seems to be pulling me down. I am thankful for the love you give to my boys (all 3). Yes they miss you as much as I do.

I know that people are brought into our lives for reasons. I know that our Heavenly Father has plans for us to help and learn from those he has brought to us. I am so thankful for that. I am thankful for the chance I have to be a better person because of you.

I pray daily that you are well, I know you have been sick a lot and I wish I was there to take it away from you or at least take care of you. (bring soup, help you, make you rest)

I thank Our Heavenly Father for you and all you have done for me and our friendship daily. I really don't know how I would have gotten through many things without you. I miss the coke talks. One day, we will be able to get together and chat. (even if it is for an hour)

I pray on this day of your Birth that you have a blessed day. That you will know you are loved and thought of often. I hope you have the BEST birthday ever. (I have an extra copy of the new book, let me know if you want to read it.. I will send the tear stained one to you. )

I love you! I miss you! I hope we can get together soon.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU, HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR BECCA, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU.

Happy Birthday from us Crazies in Wyoming.

Kennen and I went "black Friday" shopping and had a great time and got everything we needed, it was AWESOME!!!

School is going really well. I am so so so excited. Robbie is doing well, his test scores are coming back from CLASS with super high scores. Sid is beginning reading which is AMAZING since a month ago he didn't know the letters. I am so proud of the accomplishments and steps they are making. I love watching their eyes light up and them so excited when they get a new concept. I love my boys they are so much fun to be with.

OH!! we got an inversion table. It is wonderful, I love it.... It makes my back feel wonderful.

That is our week.. not too much to report. We are not very exciting in the winter months. It is way too cold to be outside. We hope you are all doing well. We love you all.

Spiritually Fed Wednesday

For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you. A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have love you, that ye also love one another. John 13:15, 34

I AM TRYING TO BE LIKE JESUS

I'm trying to be like Jesus; I'm following in his ways. I'm trying to love as he did, in all that I do and say. At times I am tempted to make a wrong choice, But I try to listen as the still small voice whispers, "Love one another as Jesus loves you. Try to show kindness in all that you do. Be gentle and loving in deed and in thought, For these are the things Jesus taught."

I'm trying to love my neighbor, I'm learning to serve my friends. I watch for the day of gladness when Jesus will come again. I try to remember the lessons he taught, Then the Holy Spirit enters into my thoughts, saying: "Love one another as Jesus love you. Try to show kindness in all that you do. Be gentle and loving in deed and in thought, For these are the things Jesus taught."

slacking....

It has been awhile. I am so very sorry. We just plug along with school and life and the next thing I know it has been weeks since I updated on here. Apparently not much has happened. We did get visitors, Chris (Kennen's brother) and his girlfriend came up to visit us so we could meet her. Jessica is welcome back anytime. We really liked her and the boys also. (which it is hard to win Robbie over) We can't wait to see them again at the Christmas party. While they were here we just hung out, ate, went up the canyon. I have some fun pictures I will try and post.

This last week we haven't done a thing, we hang out downstairs with the fire and try to stay warm. It has snowed twice and the weather is very cold. I think I am already for summer to come back. We did go on a field trip which was way cool. The boys got to go behind the scenes at the Tate. They got to hold a real dinosaur bone and help with the dinosaur they were working on. It was super cool.

Today we are also going on a field trip to see the Nations Christmas Tree. It is the very first one out of Wyoming. A couple of weeks ago they made ornaments for it in art class, so now to tie it to the tree will be fun. So pictures to come on that.

I had a wonderful birthday, thank you for all those that made it special. I can't believe I am 36.. Yikes! where has the time gone?

Hope this finds you all well. Love you all!

Spiritually Fed Wednesday

“And now, my sons, remember, remember that it is upon the rock of our Redeemer, who is Christ, the Son of God, that ye must build your foundation; that when the devil shall send forth his mighty winds, yea, his shafts in the whirlwind, yea, when all his hail and his mighty storm shall beat upon you, it shall have no power over you to drag you down to the gulf of misery and endless wo, because of the rock upon which ye are built, which is a sure foundation, a foundation whereon if men build they cannot fall.”

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

Happy Halloween from us! We hope you all had a fun and safe holiday weekend. We had tons of fun and did so many new things. We carved pumpkins on Monday for family night. We did downtown trick or treating on Saturday morning, Sunrise shopping center in the afternoon, monster bash bowling from 3 to 5:30 pm that early evening. We painted the shed.. (YIPPEE!!! its done and ready for final inspection) We have caulked the cement. We ate and ate and ate lots of candy.... Sunday, we went to some neighbors trick or treating, we went to the science zone for their trick or treating night. The boys made out like bandits.. we have candy for a year. Oh, how fun it was though. The downtown trick or treating here puts Springville to shame. You not only go down one street you do one street and another and 3 side streets. It is amazing! A ton of walking but no complaints from the boys as their bags got heavier and heavier. Hope you enjoy our pictures from Halloween.. oh and the neighborhood deer came out to play Halloween night so we took pictures of it also. Love you all!!!

ARROW OF LIGHT and projects

oops pictures posted backwards so go all the way down the scroll up.. hehehehe sorry!!

Can you believe my baby is 11??? He received his Arrow of Light, WEBELOS badge and his Youth Religious Knott. We are so very proud of him and the wonderful young man he is turning into.

There are a lot of pictures for you all to look at.. Proud mom... so after the ceremony they do a crossing over ceremony that the young man signs his name to the cross over bridge then goes and meets the scout leader on the other side. At that point the new scout leader removes the Webelos (cubscouts) kneckercheif and puts on the Boy Scout one. Can you all believe a Boy Scout now??? I can't man how time flies.

Many have asked to see pictures of the shed and cement so those are also thrown into the mix. The shed is finally done except for the primer and paint.. YIPPEE!!! And the cement is done.. YIPPEE!!! Outside projects are winding down for this year. The weather has been beautiful, but I know that is not going to last.

Hope you all enjoy a look into Robbie's Arrow of Light Ceremony. Love and hugs to you all!!!

Birthday, visit and lots of fun......

This week has been full of fun adventures. My mom was able to come and spend the week with us. We celebrated Robbie's 11th birthday (can't believe he is 11) and we were able to have some FUN!!

We drove to Cheyenne on last Sunday to help some friends with their car. Had a fun visit with them. It was nice to drive in a car with just me and Kennen. The boys stayed with my mom.

Monday we woke up early and poured our last pour for our HUGE patio. It is all done!! YIPPEE!!! Then we came in and Robbie opened up his birthday gifts and then off to Mongolian Grill we went. Had a wonderful rest of the day (crab and steak for dinner.. gotta love what the kids choose for their birthday dinners)

Tuesday we did school, pe and then my mom took the boys to a movie. (they went 3 times to 3 different shows during the week. Yes I am a bad mom and never take them)Yes we still got all school done with a visitor here. Man we ROCK!! hehe

Wednesday we got up did school and that afternoon there was an artcore performance. It was black light juggling. It was way fun!! I love homeschooling and being able to go to new things.

Thursday.. school, pe and not sure what else we did that day... we were always busy and going and doing.

Friday.. we went to a pumpkin patch and corn maze. Way fun! We followed my dear friend Jeannette and so the 5 kids had a blast running through the maze and trying to loose the 3 adults. (yes they succeeded at this) The boys had a great time choosing pumpkins. I have them in a bad habit of choosing green ones. We love watching them change colors. Friday night when we got home I was asked to watch a friends two kids so we met them at the mall had dinner then mom and I took the 4 kids bowling. It was way fun! It was great to see Robbie and Sid dancing to the music I grew up to. The lights were off and it was black light bowling everything was all a glow. The boys keep asking when we can go again.

Saturday morning mom left and I had to hurry and get ready for a baby shower that I was putting on. So off to cutting fruit I went and making fruit dip.. It went off well (thanks Jeannette for coming and helping) Now... that we had such a fun and busy week it will be good to chillax for a day before we start it all over.

Thanks GAGA for coming to visit us. Hope you had as much fun as we did.

LET US OF SPEAK KIND WORDS

Let us oft speak kind words to each other. At home or where'er we may be; Like the warblings of birds n the heather, The tones will be welcome and free. They'll gladden the heart that's repining, Give courage and hope from above, and where the dark clouds hide the shining, Let in the bright sunlight of love.

Oh, the kind words we give shall in memory live and sunshine forever impart. Let us oft speak kind words to each other; Kind words are sweet tomes of the heart.

Like the sunbeams of morn on the mountains. The soul they awake to good chear; Like the murmur of cool, pleasant fountains, They fall in sweet cadences near. Let's oft, then, in kindly toned voices, Our mutual friendship renew, Till heart meets with heart and rejoices. In friendship that ever is true.

Oh, the kind words we give shall in memory live and sunshine forever impart. Let us oft speak kind words to each other; Kind words are sweet tones of the heart.

Let us all remember how much words can help or hurt someone so "Let us oft speak kind words"

Hope you all have a wonderful Wednesday!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ROBBIE!!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ROBBIE!! wow how time has flown by... I remember the day that you were placed in my arms and the doctor saying you have a little boy. You were born on Oct. 11, 1999 at 2:09 am.. You had dark skin and a ton of jet black hair.. as the years have gone on your hair went to lighter and your skin did also but you still have beautiful skin (unlike mine that is pasty white)

You are such a blessing in our lives. You have always been the quiet one from the day you were born. You always have loved to just be by yourself doing stuff on your own.

You are an amazing big brother and Sid loves you so very much. He looks up to you and wants to do everything you do because you are so good to him. You are wonderful at helping him at school and other things you two do.

You are such a good student, we couldn't be prouder of your accomplishments. WAY TO GO!!!

We love you so very much and very glad you are apart of our family.

almost done!!!

The projects are winding down for the year, at least the outside ones. We are doing our last cement pour tomorrow. 5 more yards and we will be done. We have 1.5 more sides on the shed to side and we will be done with that. I am so grateful for the hard work that has gone into all of these "big" projects and for the friends who have come and helped with the pours. Pictures will come when I can get out and take them. (yes a bad picture taker lately)

School keeps us busy.. and we did a lot of cleaning this last week which was awesome!

Tomorrow my baby turns 11.... so a post will be coming on that. He is so excited to find out what is in the present... hehehehe

Hope you all have a great night and we will check in soon.

HOW GLORIOUS ARE FAITHFUL, JUST, AND TRUE FRIENDS

"Friendship is one of the grand fundamental principles of 'Mormonism.'... It unites the human family with its happy influence."

I do have to say that I am blessed beyond measure in this department. I truly love my friends and I miss them so very much. I pray for them daily and love them until there is no end. I hope you all know that I would do anything for any of you.

Isn't it amazing that so many things can be taken care of by a friend. So many burdens lifted and made lighter, tears shed in happiness and sorrow with each other. Stories told and laughter ringing out. A drive to get a soda just because one has had a bad day. A walk in the rain or a foundation of a house painted. So many wonderful things happen when friends are around.

"True friends ease one another's sorrows and remain faithful even in times of adversity." Joseph Smith

Joseph also wrote on Aug. 11, 1842 "How good and glorious it has seemed unto me, to find pure and holy friends, who are faithful, just and true, and whose hearts fail not; and whose knees are confirmed and do not falter...." LOVE IT!!!

Each Life That Touches Ours for Good (hymn 293)

Each life that touches ours for good Reflects thine own great mercy, Lord; Thou sendest blessings from above Thru words and deeds of those who love.

What greater gift dost thou bestow, What greater goodness can we know Than Christ-like friends, whose gentle ways Strengthen our faith, enrich our days.

When such a friend from us departs We hold forever in our hearts A sweet and hallowed memory, Bringing us nearer, Lord, to thee.

For worthy friends whose lives proclaim Devotion to the Savior's name, Who bless our days with peace and love, We praise thy goodness, Lord above.

Thank you to my friends.. for being here for me, through it all. I love you very much and I count my blessings daily. I pray for you all, I worry about you all and I care for you. Please let me know if I can do anything for you as you all have done much for me.

Fall pictures

We went and took fall pictures... It was so very much fun.

Here are some of them for you to enjoy.

We have been busy with all of the fun things we do. Besides school and scouts we have been working on the shed and cement stuff. We have hauled in more gravel and got it leveled, now just waiting for a day off to be able to find help and do the last section. We are hoping it happens before the snow falls.
Halloween is up at our house, the boys are so excited. The boys have found their halloween costumes and are excited to wear them.

In 9 days my baby will be 11. Wow!! where has the time gone?

We hope that this first weekend in October has been a wonderful one for you. We have been able to enjoy beautiful weather, wonderful talks with conference (still praying for a Temple in Wyoming or closer than 5 hours.. yes we were spoiled living in Utah so close too so many Temples) And time with my boys, couldn't ask for anything more. Love to you all!!!!

Field trips and pictures...

We have had a very eventful week... wow!!! Lots of school done, a field trip to a museum and learned about the Pioneers, Indians, Pony Express etc... Food for thought, how many pioneers passed through Wyoming??? Not one of them stopped and said isn't this place pretty maybe we should settle it. hehehe okay, Robbie wasn't liking that discussion with me but I found it to be a funny conversation.

The weather has been perfect.. Loving the warm weather to be able to go out and play. We have done yard work and re-seeded some of the back yard.

Today we decided to head up to the falls and enjoy the weather, have decided though that the colors of the leaves do not change here.. Missing the fall colors. We had a great time and we took some new family pics and some pictures of just the boys. They turned out super cute. Can't wait to print them and hang them on the wall..

The boys are doing well, the are learning and growing. I can't believe how fast they grow and change. My baby will soon be 11 and has turned into a very handsome young man. My littlest baby is 6 and is changing daily. They are both so much fun to have around.. Love my family!!!

Hope you all have a wonderful week.. Love to you all!

Spiritually Fed Wednesday

I for one have been feeling the affects of satan working very hard. I had to be reminded by my loving husband that I must matter cause if I didn't the things that go on wouldn't go on. I also know many others have been feeling this also. Remember you all matter and I love each of you and here anytime for you. We must all be there for each other in our times of trials, love, hope, happiness etc...

I LOVE the Prophets of old and the Prophet of today. I can't wait for conference, what a time to learn from those called of God. I have been reading a book called 'A Prophet's Voice' inspiring quotes from Spencer W. Kimball. So from this I will write:

Sometimes the solution is not to change our circumstance, but to change our attitude about the circumstance; difficulties are often opportunities for service.

NEVER WASTE AN HOUR WITH ANYONE WHO DOESN'T LIFT YOU UP AND ENCOURAGE YOU.

COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS

When upon life's billow you are tempest tossed When you are discouraged thinking all is lost, Count your many blessings; name them one by one, and it will surprise you what the Lord has done.

Are you ever burdened with a load of care? Does the cross seem heavy you are called to bear? Count your many blessings; every doubt will fly and you will be singing as the days go by.

When you look at others with their lands and gold, think that Christ has promised you his wealth untold. Count your many blessings; money can not buy your reward in Heaven nor your home on high.

So amid the conflict, whether great or small, do not be discourage; God is over all. Count your many blessings; angels will attend, help and comfort give you to your journey's end.

Count your blessings; name them one by one. Count your blessings; see what God hath done. Count your blessings; name them one by one. Count your many blessings; see what God hath done.

I am so thankful for a testimony, I am thankful for a loving husband that listens, ponders, prayers and loves me. I am thankful for a loving Heavenly Father and for his son Jesus Christ. I am thankful for the promptings from the spirit. I am thankful for the knowledge that the gospel has given me. I love my life... I love being a mother, wife, sister, daughter, friend, cousin, granddaughter and every other hat that has my name on it. I love having my boys home with me 24 hours a day 7 days a week. I love that I can teach them, not only with school but about the gospel and of my testimony. Please know that my phone is always on if you need to talk you can call or text anytime. Love you all and thank you for your love.

wow!!!

sorry for the no posts lately.. been crazy with school, field trips, and everything else we are doing.

For those of you who do not know we are homeschooling the boys. We are loving it and are learning and growing together. We have homeschool PE on Tues. and Thurs. and homeschool art on Wed. It is so rewarding to watch the boys as they learn something new.

We did squeeze in a fast trip to Utah to visit with Grandma as she just found out she had breast cancer on top of the 2 broken hips.

Kennen and I were able to attend a temple session which was wonderful since we haven't done it since moving.

The boys and I went on a very fun field trip and had a blast.

We have also bottled 39 pints of salsa, 12 quarts of whole tomatoes, 14 quarts of tomato juice and 12 quarts of peaches.

Hope you all have a wonderful day. We love you all!!!

Finding Hope

I know I just posted a video... but I watched this one and thought you would all enjoy it. It is very touching. I am so thankful for the Gospel in my life. Love you all!!

Where Were You When The World Stopped Turning?

Prayers going out to those who have lost loved ones. I can't believe it has been 9 years ago since the attacks. So many have died for us to keep us safe and free. May we pray for those that are fighting for us still today. Let us not forget everyone who was tragically taken from their families and friends. Thank you to all of you whom are serving us.

Spiritually Fed Wednesday

Okay really it is Thursday morning.... sorry!! I am a slacker what can I say.

This Tuesday, Kennen and I were able to attend the Temple together for the first time since moving. Oh how I have missed going. I am so thankful for the opportunity of the Temple. I am thankful for the quiet moments we are able to have there. For you all who live close to a Temple take advantage of going. It is very hard when you move from such a place with many Temples to a place that doesn't have one in the State. We must travel to attend the Temple. With the boys that is even a little bit harder cause what do you do with them for a 5 hour drive then the session and the 5 hour drive home? Thank you Paula for waking up so early and meeting us at the motel so you could stay with the boys. Anyway, off my soap box.. just go enjoy the Temple

FAMILIES CAN BE TOGETHER FOREVER

I have a family here on earth. They are so good to me. I want to share my life with them through all eternity. Families can be together forever Through heavenly Father's plan. I always want to be with my own family, and the Lord has shown me how I can. The Lord has shown me how I can.

While I am in my early years, I'll prepare most carefully, so I can marry in God's temple for eternity. Families can be together forever through heavenly Father's plan. I always want to be with my own family, and the Lord has shown me how I can. The Lord has shown me how I can.

I love my family and I am so thankful for the knowledge that I have that we are an eternal family. That we won't just be here together on this earthly journey but also the next.

YELLOWSTONE

Our family was able to enjoy a trip to Yellowstone. We had a wonderful time and the weather was perfect. We tented it for 3 nights in 3 different campgrounds. We had so much fun. We were able to see and do so many things. I don't think we left Yellowstone feeling like we missed something. We walked and walked and walked. The boys were troopers. I think they enjoyed camping the best though to be honest with you. They loved the campfires and the loved running and playing together. They got so silly and it is was fun to watch. I do have to say that my two boys are so good together. They truly are an example of how siblings should be. They take care of one another, love each other, play with each other and they truly do worry about each other. I LOVE IT and am so blessed to have them in my life.

Our first day we went through Cody and stopped at the Buffalo Bill Museum and then went on to find our campground. We set up camp and then we were able to play as a family a game of kickball. Then off to make tinfoil dinners.. YUM!!!!

The second day we left the campground early and went into Yellowstone. It was so much fun to be stopped twice by 2 huge herds of buffalo. The boys loved seeing these huge snorting animals touching the car. We did upper falls, lower falls and also mammoth hot springs plus everything from the East gates to Madison campground. (including a grizzly bear) Madison Campground was so nice, that night we were able to enjoy T-bone steaks. A treat since we usually don't buy them. DELICIOUS!!!

The third day we started our adventure and headed off and did everything from Madison to Grant Village. Sid loved the geysers. Robbie was enjoying the wildlife and the hot springs. We spent much time at Old Faithful and had the best ice cream. From there we headed to our third night location which was between tetons and Yellowstone. We had a great time playing at the campgrounds. Talking and acting Silly. Pigs on a blanket over a fire.. Don't you just love camping food?? we do and don't forget the s'mores all nights.

When we woke we drove to Jackson.. We stopped at a cabin (historic site) and walked and learned. Then stopped and looked at the Tetons and then drove into Jackson. Walked around there and stopped at a pretty good pizza joint and ate pizza the boys were on cloud 9. After pizza back in the car we go and back track to head home. We had to go back to Moran Junction and head towards Dubois.. Then to Riverton and on to home. The boys were amazing in the car and we were extremely blessed for the wonderful trip that we had (weather, no accidents, no harm, no fighting etc...)

Have I ever told you how lucky I am to be the mother of two handsome good boys and a wife to the most amazing man ever.

I posted a slide show at the bottom of this post so please enjoy our trip to Yellowstone (there are also pics from Yellowstone on a previous post) Oh and don't forget to see what happened to Sid the day before we left, it is also a previous post.

Broken Arm

What a fun Wednesday the 18th of August was. Tuesday night Robbie and Sid and one of the friends were outside playing and Sid came running in crying saying his arm hurt. We got an ice pack on it and all was fine.. no medication needed. We went about our evening and ran errands and came home got ready for bed and went to bed. Wednesday Sid woke up and we were doing school stuff and he couldn't hold a crayon or a pencil at that time I knew something was wrong. (I know bad mom) I had an appointment at the doctors already set up for Robbie because he was stung by a wasp the Saturday before and it was not going away and spreading up his arm. So I called the doctor and told them I needed to swap kids cause Sid was in more need to see the doctor. Thankfully they seen both kids. Robbie had an infection from the bite and they sent us from the doctors to the outpatient radiology department. So.... We go there... and sit.... and wait.... then they take x-ray's. At that point they tell me, "you will have to wait until Thursday or Friday to have these read" I got mad and said "this is a 6 year old with a possible break, we are leaving town first thing in the morning. You are seriously going to make him wait 1 week?" So at that point I call back the doctor and tell them. Within an hour they got results.. "Your son broke his arm, we need you know to go to orthopaedics associates." So off we go... We get in finally, get the cast and this adventure only lasted 6 hours. WOW!!! what a day it was. He did get a pretty cool cast and we go back on Thurs. Sept. 2, 2010 to cut this cast off and put on a cast that only goes to the elbow. So be watching for the new cast... hehehehe

p.s. stay tuned for our next 2 adventures.....
