What a week!!!

So, I have no pictures of our week. It has been a week that is for sure. Between, sickness, tending and sickness again. Sid was feeling better than got the flu, I hate cleaning up throw up and doing the laundry from said illness. I was concerned on what to do with him since Kennen had to work on Saturday and I had to be at a scout thing at the park on Saturday. Thankfully it was a 24 hour bug and he was feeling better by Saturday morning.

We went to Cheyenne to visit our friends David and MaryAnn. We had a great lunch, went to the park and then went back to their house and David and Robbie played throwing a cow wii game. At this point Kennen is getting pale in color so we leave. Kennen has the cold chills and way bad body aches, we turn up the heat and he wraps himself in a wool blanket and is still cold. So.. family member number 2 down with the flu.

I really don't even know what else we have done. I guess the days are getting shorter and since school is in not much happens.

We sold the car..... Ordered a new garage door....... poured some cement...... and watched kids..... that sums up our week.

So for all of you moms out there, how is it that when your house is spotless not one person shows up to your door. But, when it looks like a tornedo has come through you get visitors all day???? I am a little puzzled. Do people know??? Our house was clean all week then on Thursday night I so don't know what happened.. You guessed it Friday morning and day we had one visitor after another so the house never got picked up until Saturday. :)

We hope all is well with you.

A new school year

Hello to you all.... It has been a week. Sid is just barely now starting to feel like a human again, I wish I could say the same. School started on Monday. Robbie seems to really be enjoying it at his new school and with his new friends. Sid was supposed to start school on Wednesday but by doctor orders and the fact he was still in bed not moving we kept him home and he will start tomorrow.

Robbie is in the 4th grade and is attending Paradise Valley Elementary this year. His teacher is Mrs. Wise. Sid will be attending The Child Development Center of Natrona County for his 2nd year and his teacher this year will be Miss Kay.

This past Friday we had the cubscout Raingutter Regatta and a great time. Robbie and his boat took 2nd place. Which is always fun. That was about our adventure for the week.

As for me I am just hanging out at home. I will be watching Jeannettes 3 children every other week. It will be a fun adventure.

Kennen is still busy with work and projects around the house. He has begun to feel a little off. I think the no sleeping for the last 12 days has put a damper in his system. I myself am doing okay, just really tired. I think moms are better prepared for that than dads are. I think he has gained a new respect for all of the sleepless nights I have encountered that I have not awakened him. :)

As for that, we are all doing well. We are trying to be the best that we can and I think that is what has been asked of us. We love you all!! Have a wonderful week.

Last week of summer

Wow!!! Can you believe it is time for school to start???? I don't know if I should be happy or sad. Happy in the fact that now we can get back to a routine in our everyday lives but sad that I have to send the boys off to school.

We had an interesting last week of our summer. On Monday, we went to Independence Rock and Martins Cove. We have wanted to visit these places since we moved here and we finally went. The boys LOVED Independence Rock. They could have spent the entire day there. They wanted to go back there when we got done up at Martins Cove as well. But.... We had to come home and cement in a fence post. Maybe another day we can go back. Kennen and I thought Independence Rock was awesome as well. On top of this huge rock (mountain) there was little ponds no more than 2-6 inches deep and some had little fish in them. Now how exactly the fish got there we have no clue but it was pretty cool. There was a lady up there that same day and she had been there before and there was not the ponds before so we thought that was fun. Martins Cove was neat as well. The boys each got a ring made from a horse shoe, and a wooden necklace thing that if you go around and answer questions you turn it in for the necklace. So I just have to tell you I was taken aback by the Cove. My impression has always been it was more like a cave thing that the pioneers took safety in. It is not it is out in the open. I have pictures of it so please look. It is very pretty there. It was an amazing day... Can't wait to do it again.

Sid had surgery on Wednesday 8-12-09. He had his tonsils and adnoids removed. He has struggled with this and has been one sick little boy. Thankfully, he has began to eat and drink it only took 4 days and a threat from a friend who came by (he is a dr.) and he told him that he was going to end up at the hospital if he didn't start drinking. I made homemade Chicken noodle soup with homemade noodles for dinner on Saturday night, and he finally ate something. YIPPY!!!!!!

Robbie has been a trooper through it all. He spent Wednesday with the Ross Family Thank you for taking him. He had a great time. Kevin took Robbie and Kyle fishing and Robbie had a blast and then they all went to Natural Bridge. Robbie said he had a great time. Other than that he has been home with me helping with Sid. He has been such a good big brother and has laid with Sid and kept him company watching movies. School starts in the morning for him. Tiffany took him to meet his teacher (thanks again to the Ross family) He says she is very nice. So hopefully this year will be a good one. Lets hope....

Kennen and I are doing well. Just ready for Sid to feel well and all that goes with that. Oh and Our garage door broke Monday Night as well. That sucks rocks it came down on Sids bike and didn't stop it kept shutting and it so crumpled the door. So now we have to buy a new door. BUMMER!!! I so hate buying things when they were perfectly good but they malfunctioned. Oh well, such is life.

We hope all is going well with all of you. Love you and enjoy the slide show....

Visits and lots of fun.

We had a good week. The boys and I went to Natural Bridge and had a picnic. It was so much fun. The weather was hot and the water felt nice.

My Aunt Yvonne and Ed came to Casper and ate lunch with us and then went to a museum it was good to see them and spend some time with them. They had 2 of their grandkids with them and all of the kids enjoyed playing together.

We have had many nights being outside this week and enjoying the warmth of the night air. We have enjoyed multiple fires and many talks. Love being able to have a fire and spending that time together as a family.

Robbie has decided to ride the big bike and then also took the plunge at riding with no hands. What a crazy boy. Kennen says he doesn't get that from him that it must be from me. :)

Sid is just Sid. He is a blast to have around. He is so dang funny. Please all who read this keep him in your prayers. Our little man goes in for surgery on Wednesday.

We have had a lot of new families move into our ward. It has been fun. There is a new family here that has a son Robbie's age and a daughter Sid's age and a daughter between the two and one younger. It has been so good for Robbie to have a boy his age to play with. Sid has really enjoyed the girls as well.

Kennen is still working at work and at home. He is in the process right now of moving the fence and getting things ready for a storage shed.

Summer is coming to an end. Next Monday, Robbie will be at school. How time flies when you are having fun.

We hope this finds you all well. We love you and have a wonderful week.

Happy Monday!!!

I have gotten so bad about taking pictures. Sorry....
Anyway, our backyard grass is growing YIPPY!!!!
Kennen took out a section of our fence today so he could make a gate. We are so tired of dogs coming into our backyard. Hopefully he can finish it soon.
Today is Kennen's day off of work so we did some grocery shopping then we loaded the bikes up and we took them to the river parkway trail and rode them for 3 miles. Go us not bad for the first time out. It was a beautiful day out and we all got sunburned.
We also took the boys for a haircut. This was Robbie's first haircut in 8 years in a place other than home. He is growing out his hair, we told him that is fine as long as he kept it up nice. So far so good. Sid with his hair cut looks so big, it is amazing how hair can change the appearance.

Anyway, our week this week will be busy so I will take my camera. Hope you all are doing well.

Love ya!
