BREATHING TREATMENTS AND ALLERGIC RE-ACTIONS

Okay, so we have had a rough week. I ended up taking Sid to Insta Care on Thursday Morning cause he was sounding awful and had a fever. Come to find out he has a lung infection and once again is in need of breathing treatments. The story does not end there. Remember this is a mom that has had no sleep for 3 nights now. Friday, he was not doing well at all running a 102 fever all day and just stayed in bed. (so not like Sid). Saturday morning we wake up (or at least the sun has) and he has a swollen face and red bumps every where. I instantly think the worst. I call Jeannette and she takes Robbie while I take Sid back to the insta care. Come to find out he is having an allergic reaction to the amoxicillan. So they up the breathing treatments to 3 times a day and add benedryl to the mix of meds he is taking. Remember he has never been allergic before so this is something new. The following pictures are what he looks like right now. (this is after benedryl twice)

poor kid, yes it is all over his body. The doctor at the insta care took pictures for training purposes so that those just learning will be able to see what a amoxicillan reaction looks like. We will be making another trip back to Insta Care tomorrow. Yea for us 3 times in 1 week.

This is probably one of Sids oldest friends. It has been a part of his life for 4.5 years. From his first day of life. Yes, it is back 3 times a day.
As for the rest of the family we are hanging in there. Robbie is doing well. He is beginning to make friends at school and is doing okay there. He is a very good big brother and had been a wonderful helper these past few days.
Kennen is working lots and lots he has been leaving at 4 in the morning and not getting home until 9 pm so it makes very long days for him and I.
We have received new callings which we are excited about. I will update you more after we are set apart tomorrow.
We hope you are all doing well. We love you all.

A celebration week/surgery

LOOK HOW YUMMY!!!!

A week, is about all I can say about this week. Sid had another oral surgery on Wednesday, it was rough on him. He ended up having to have an extra root canal. So instead of two he had three this time. He was a sick little boy. That day was also Kennen's birthday. Sid and I took some eclairs, pecan pie bites, candy bar and balloon to his work. He wasn't there so it was sad, we couldn't wait for him cause we had to get Sid in for his surgery. That night, we ate steak baked potatoes and a veggie and I made a yummy chocolate cake. Took pictures of it. I will post them.

Thursday was the cub scout blue and gold banquet. I was asked to make a stock pot of chili and bake 20 lbs of potatoes. It was good. Robbie received 3 beads and a belt loop. Rachel and I spent the day getting things ready, we baked potatoes and went to sams for supplies. It was great fun. Forgot the camera, did remember the 20 lbs of potatoes, chili, nacho cheese, ladel, 2 boys and myself so I guess I was doing good.
Friday night we ate dinner with the Berg family. It was so yummy, thanks for inviting us over. We learned a new game and had a great time.
Saturday, Kennen works so we hung out at home and waited for him to come. When he got home we decided to go swimming. We got to the pool and found out that they were doing the jackalope jump that day so there was a ton of people there so we only stayed about an hour. The boys still had a great time.
I just have to let you all in. I have been reading some amazing blogs. I have links on my blog to go there so if you all get a chance go and read them one is cjane's and the other is nie nie's. I would love to be more like either one of them. Both are truely amazing people. I read them and it inspires me to be a better mom, wife, friend and everything in between.
Hope you all have a great week, we love each one of you.

Valentine Week

Okay, I promised pictures this week so here are some of the boys and Kennen. Aren't my boys just so cute? Sid makes me laugh he is so much fun to have around. Robbie, dis-likes pictures so when I get one I am happy even if he looks ornery in them. This is the boys just goofing off and I caught Robbie as he was walking by.
This is my handsome 9 year old. I got this on the way out the door before school one morning.

This is Kennen and Sid, and the newest member of our family "bumble bee" He is a robot Sid made at school and he lives on my dresser. Sid built him, painted him, decorated him. He turned out very good.

This is Sids school. This is them playing is stations. The boy in the orange in Brendon Sid's little buddy. Those two do everything at school together it is pretty cute.

Okay, so I saved the best picture for last. For those of you who know Sid well, he is so funny. The other night he walked into our bedroom looking like this. He had on this blue shirt and these pajama bottoms that are bright green with yellow and orange fire trucks on them. He had on his snow boots, tool belt, goggles and was holding a drill. It was pretty cute. We were getting ready to run some errands and so off we go. Can you imagine a mother allowing her child to go out looking like this? What kind of mom would allow such a thing? I really think someone needs to talk to this mother about the way this child looks. Come on.
Well, when we get home he decides he wants to sleep in this lovely outfit. Yes, the mother says okay that is fine. The next morning the 4 year old decides he wants to wear this outfit to school. What do you think the mother says? I hope you all said I would say "no". Okay, I only said no on part of it. I told him he could wear the shirt but needed to change the pants.
This week seemed to have gone by rather quickly. Tuesday was scouts (getting ready for the blue and gold). Thursday I went to Roundtable for the district. Friday Kennen got called out of town so it was the boys and I so I took them to Burger King so they could play. (just an update this was the first time the boys had eaten out in a week or so go me. I have been cooking every meal) We came home from Burger King and watched two movies snuggled in mom and dad's bed.
Saturday...... Kennen had to work. Robbie had a friend over ALL day long, we ended up eating left overs and grocery shopping at 6 pm. We went to Menards (favorite store, so when anyone comes to Casper we have to take you there). Anyway, they were having this deal that if you bought a green bag for .98cents everything inside was 15% off. We got the things we needed and we bought a box of pop tarts when we got to the check out the box of pop tarts was only 84 cents can you say yea!!!! I went back into the store got another green bag and went and loaded up on Chocolate pop tarts I got 14 boxes for $13.00. (good deal since pop tarts are $2.00 or more in the other stores). Look I am starting to refurbish my year supply. Ashleigh are you so proud of me?
We hope that you all had a great valentines week and valentines day. We love you all.

AN UNEVENTFUL WEEK

Okay, so this week was pretty uneventful except for meetings. We had meeting after meeting after meeting.

Tuesday, I had a PTO meeting and Robbie had his scout meeting all at the same time. Can anyone say that is CRAZY.

Wednesday, I had Young Womens. That starts at 7 pm and that night I didn't get home until 9 pm. Kennen went to work at 4 am (CRAZY) and didn't get home until 6:45pm.

Thursday, I had another Young Womens meeting this time it was for the leaders. Thankfully it was at our house. That night Kennen didn't get home until 8 pm from work.

Friday, was clean the house day cause the Missionaries were coming over for dinner. I made home made rolls, pork loin roast, mixed veggies, baked potatoes and I also made pumpkin cookies from scratch. GO ME! That morning I also made blueberry muffins. Got the laundry done and everything. Kennen thinks that something has happened to his wife. He told Robbie tonight that something has happened to mom. I asked why and he said the wife and mom we used to have never did the dishes, didn't clean the house very often, when she did the laundry it sat in laundry baskets for days sometimes weeks and she never cooked. I asked if that was a problem he said no I like the clean house, I like the clean laundry, I like the dinners everynight and I like the dishes being done. At that I promptly told him, thanks and if he wanted the old me back I could arrange it. :)

Saturday, we went to lunch and then went to the park and played. Yea for the nice weather. My mom says we are crazy, but the weather was in the high 40's and beautiful. It was truly a sweatshirt day. (maybe we are just getting used to the cold)

As for the boys they are doing well. Robbie is growing leaps and bounds. Sid is as well. Sid is student of the week this coming week so we are making a poster. Congrats Sid. Last week Robbie was student of the day twice. Congrats Robbie. They are both doing really well and we are very proud of both of them.

For all of you who are interested. I couldn't stay away from scouts any longer. I went to the District Office and asked them if there was a way I could volunteer there. I miss the scouts a lot. They gave me an application, and soon I will be an official scouter again. I am so very excited.

That is our week in a nut shell. I hope you have had a wonderful week. We love you all.

Sorry, forgot the camera. I will try harder this next week.
